Rockville Sports Have a New Option for Indoor Play
The New Champions Field House Offers One-of-a-Kind Facilities
Rockville, MD – Champions Field House announced today the construction of its indoor sports complex in Rockville, MD. It is the first new sports complex to be built in Montgomery County in a decade.
This state-of-the-art facility will provide an opportunity for children and teenagers to grow and learn as responsible and dedicated athletes, while also providing fun and healthy activities for Montgomery County as a whole. Its "clubhouse" environment caters to team development and enhances the athletic experience.
“Champions Field House will not only facilitate the opportunity for local athletes to improve their game, but it will also cater to the entire community,” said Jenna Ries, executive director of Champions Field House. “We hope Champions Field House will become a cornerstone for the area, promoting health, wellness, and positive life choices.”
Ries teamed up with other local coaches including Jim Bruno and Devin Payton who are both in charge of futsal, Alan Pohoryles, who will be the men’s lacrosse director, Mike Haight, who will take the lead on girls’ lacrosse, Jason Gasaway, who will be the baseball director, and volleyball director Karen Jones.
Champions Field House, a 46,000 square foot complex, offers a variety of sports and activities, focusing on the training and development of niche market sports such as field hockey, lacrosse, volleyball, futsal, and more.
The field house offers two Fieldturf fields, two sports courts, two batting cages, two pitching mounds, a multi-purpose training room, a mezzanine viewing area, and administrative offices.
A family-oriented facility, Champions Field House will provide value-added services with a strong patron focus in addition to its commitment and dedication to sports. It will provide the best programs, staff, equipment, and environment to fully meet the various sports, fitness, and recreational needs of the community.
The new sports complex will accommodate soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, volleyball, baseball, basketball, multi-sports camps, and a variety of recreational and sporting activities. It will help fill the area's ever-growing demand for high-quality sports programs.
The Champions Field House team has already broken ground for the facility, poured the foundation, and is planning a Labor Day Weekend grand opening.
