Pixie Stix Lacrosse

Pixie Stix Lacrosse is an offshoot of the highly successful and growing JCL Lacrosse Club.  JCL has teams for players’ aged 6th-12th grade.

Pixie Stix is a developmental team that will give your daughters the ability to develop at an accelerated rate. Practices are fun, instructional, and motivating for girls of any age and her focus is to have the girls love the game more today than they did yesterday!

So, what is the Pixie Stix in a nutshell?

  • We will wear Pink and Black!
  • We will practice after your spring season is over.
  • We are focused on learning the fundamentals of the game!
  • We will learn to have heart and hustle!
  • THERE ARE NO CUTS FOR PIXIE STIX!
  • We will play in tournaments and fall leagues after prepping in the summer of 2008!

“The difference between my daughter playing club lacrosse and those not playing club lacrosse is night and day…I see my 7th grade daughter’s JCL  team playing high school JV teams and winning on a consistent basis…All the parents wonder how old all these kids are…and I just keep telling them Middle School!”  Meg, mother of 2 JCL players.

My eight year old learned many new skills that really helped her game.  The best part of the program was that she had such a great time learning.  The coaches were fabulous, the drills easy and informative and the league organized.  I would recommend this program to the beginner as well as the player with experience.  My daughter's skill level increased along with her love for the sport. Team Communication

Communication will be accomplished through email so please make sure you read all emails sent from the Pixie Stix Staff.  It is imperative that players and parents closely follow these communication modes on a daily basis. The club is open to any girls with no experience or a wealth of experience!  Players will be expected to attend all practices and games and be committed to their team.

Registration Dues and Uniform Fee

This sport mandates that players additionally practice on their own to develop the skills needed to play. All coaching and club organization will be done on a volunteer basis and it is expected that the players/parents respect this dedication. Dues will vary year to year and this year’s fee is $350 for all practices and tournament entrance fee to the 2009 Club National Championship.  In addition, parents are expect to pay $50 for their uniform fee.

$250 PIXIES FALL FEES

Player Equipment

Players are required to supply their own sticks ($30-$100), cleats or turf shoes, practice apparel, protective eyewear (range $30-$90) and mouth guards (required).   They may not play without eyewear, mouthguards or sticks.  Gloves are optional. The club will supply Goalie pads and helmet.

Last year two of our players Katie Forman and Chloe Johnson made the All-Tournament team at the 2008 Club National Championship…Mind you all of our players are playing against kids 2 or 3 years older so they did a great job!  In the fall, the Pixie Stix participated in the FSLAX league in Urbana, MD and won over 75% of their games!
