Varsity Field Hockey and Lacrosse at Quince Orchard High School 1995-2008. Named All Met Coach of the Year and was an All-County Coaches Selection for five separate seasons. Washington Post Field Hockey All-Met honors as a player (1988) and Coach of the Year (2001). Started for University of Maryland and later coached Q.O. to 7 divisional titles, 6 regional titles and 2 State Championships in 2001 and 2006.
All-Met selection from Quince Orchard High School. Second grade teacher at Wayside Elementary in Potomac. Captained the American University hockey team to it first ever NCAA tournament appearance and AU’s highest national ranking (9) in school history.
Played at American University from Santiago, Chile. In 2007 Denise earned First-Team All-American honors, was a First Team All-Region selection for the third straight year..named to the First Team All-Patriot League. Earned Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and Patriot League Tournament MVP award… named Eastern College Athletic Conference Player of the Year…registered a season best six points against Lehigh (1g-4a). In 2006: Played and started in 20 out of 21 games... earned Second-Team All-American honors... was a First Team All-Region selection for the second straight year... named to the First Team All-Patriot League...earned Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year... competed for the Chilean National Team in the 2007 Four Nation Tournament held in Santiago, Chile. Before American: Member of the Chilean National Team... participated in the 2003 Pan American Games... member of the Prince of Wales Country Club Field Hockey Team.
Head Coach for the Good Counsel Lacrosse Program located in Olney, MD. Coach Haight has guided his program to the only National Ranking in Montgomery County Lacrosse History in 2007 while finishing 30th in 2008. The Good Counsel Lacrosse program has won 5 straight WCAC titles and has been ranked in the Washington Post each of the past 5 years. For the past four years Coach Haight has been honored with the distincition of being a National Tournament Team Coach and Selector for the Mid-Atlantic region. Throughout his 8 year run at Good Counsel High School Coach Haight has accumulated 11 "Coach of the Year Awards" and a career mark of 99-31-2 for a .750 winning percentage. Coach Haight instills a "fighter's chance" in all of his players and pushes them to achieve their personal best which is directly correlated into his team successes. His Jackals teams are mentioned among the nation's elite year in and year out. For the 2009 season, Coach Haight returns to the grassroots where he will be coaching the 2015-2016 team. He intends on following through with this team until their HS graduation. His teams consistently make the playoffs of the summer tournaments and are always considered one of the hardest working, spirited, and unselfish during the summer and fall months. At the conclusion of the 2008 Season Coach Haight has been personally involved with over 50 Division-I lacrosse players and over 100 current or former collegiate lacrosse players.
Maureen Dupcak played for the United States Women’s Lacrosse National Team for six years. She was a member of the gold medal winning 1997 World Cup Women’s Lacrosse Team and the 1996 and 2000 USA Touring teams, which traveled throughout Britain and Australia. Dupcak attended the University of Maryland where she was a four-year letter winner and NCAA National Champion in both field hockey and lacrosse. In lacrosse, Dupcak earned All-American honors in 1994 and she participated in four NCAA Final Fours, playing in the championship game three times and winning the NCAA Women's Lacrosse National Championship in 1992. Most recently Dupcak was named one of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s 50 all-time best women’s lacrosse players.In 1996, she worked as an assistant coach at the University of Maryland and helped win the 1997 NCAA Championship. 1998 was the first of six years in which Dupcak was the Head Coach at American University. There she was named Colonial Athletic Association Coach of the Year in 1999 and Patriot League Coach of the Year in 2003. She also took AU to it's first ever NCAA tournament appearance in 2003 and currently holds the record for most wins in AU lacrosse history. Dupcak left her coaching success to stay at home and raise her daughters Samantha and Alexis.
Began playing lacrosse at age 12. She continued her love of lacrosse by playing for the back to back State Champion Severna Park High School in 2000 and 2001. She was offered a scholarship to play at Penn State University. At Penn State she became a 4 year starter and went on to become the leading scorer in goals and assists her senior year and a points and goals leader in her junior and sophomore years. She was named an all ALC team member during her junior and senior year campaigns as well as being awarded an All American during her senior year. Kristen was an integral part of PSU shaking up the Top 10 in her senior year and was awarded player of the week by Inside Lacrosse, Women’sLacrosse.com and ALC Lacrosse after finishing a career high 6 goals and the game winning goal in a Princeton upset. She was also named to Sports Illustrated Faces in the crowd following that game. She was an All-ALC Academic Team member for 3 years as well as making the Deans list for 4 consecutive semesters.
During her career and at the conclusion, Kristen coached camps for PSU, Univ. of Maryland, and Northwestern throughout the summertime. She went on to become an Associate head coach of the Maryland Stars club lacrosse team.
Current varsity field hockey and girls lacrosse coach for Damascus High School for the past 10 years.
Began playing lacrosse at age 14. She played for 2 different high schools (Downingtown High School and Conestoga High School.) She finished her high school career at Conestoga High School where she was a member of a powerhouse squad that won the state championship her junior year and took 2nd in the state in her senior year. During her junior year, Conestoga also ranked #1 in the country by Lacrosse Magazine. Katie went on to play at University of Maryland. Katie made up part of a very strong defensive unit at UMD. During college Katie continued to coach for PA Express, her home club team that helped her reach her college lacrosse aspirations. After her junior year, Katie was asked to take over director of camps for UMD. Due to her success as an administrator and coach, she was later asked to take over the direction of the Maryland Stars Club team. Katie has since gone on to be named coach of the tournament at the Vail Lacrosse Shootout in 2006, and also set up and ran the Naval Academy’s Lacrosse camps in their inaugural season to Women’s Division 1 Lacrosse.
Graduated from St. Johns College High School. Attended Regis College where she set the record for most goals scored in a game. Chrissy started every game of her collegiate career. She also received All-American Nominations.
Played for Rockville High School on the 1984 4A State Championship team. Played collegiately at Gettysburg College, all M.A.C Conference outside hitter. Coached for 3 years at Seton Keough High School in Baltimore, Catholic League Coach of the Year 1993. Coached Quince Orchard girls to undefeated, 4A state championship in 2003, 2003 Coach of the Year for both Gazette and Journal. Coached Quince Orchard Coed Volleyball for 6 years - 3 time county finalist, 2000 Journal Coach of the Year.
